Trends in CRM -2

A few weeks back, while I was driving, I got a SMS from my bank, thanking me for using their credit card for US $ 100. I was perplexed and trying to think when did I do this transaction. Within a few minutes, I received several more similar SMS. The total amount was more than US $1,000.

I had fallen trap in some online fraud and was frantically looking for a place to pull over my car & call my bank.
As soon as I found a place to park my car, I spent the next few minutes, frantically searching for my bank helpline number, when suddenly my phone rang & guess who was calling? It was my bank.

The person on the phone informed me that the bank's system flagged my card's transactions as a suspected fraud. Before I could realise it, the bank had blocked my card as well as those high-value US$ transactions.

I realised that I had personally experienced real-time CRM analytics at play.
But the question of how the fraudster was able to hack my credit card details & break the bank's firewall remains unanswered.
